I would give this place 0 stars if I could.For starters, I just moved to the area so I was looking for a dentist with good reviews as I am missing my lateral teeth and have two maryland bridges, so am pretty picky about who touches my teeth. I came across this place and saw good reviews, but the more I read it seems those reviews are for Dr. Ford who is no longer here.When I entered the office I told them I am pregnant and they asked me "do you know if pregnant people are allowed to do X-rays" which I didn't know the answer to but would've thought they should.... After they took X-rays, I saw Dr. Kimberly Corrigan and she walked in, looked at my X-rays, and verbatim told me "oh you have great genetics, definitely don't have any cavities." Then she later told me "have you ever been told you have any gum diseases? I'm not seeing anything they look healthy to me." I told her no.About 10 minutes later I let her know I am pregnant (again) and she tells me I have 3 baby cavities (which I have never had a cavity in my life) and that I have perio disease and need four treatments (I'm 27 years old).My next visit they do the perio therapy on my right side and fill two "cavities" on the right side, where she had to add even more numbing because the previous anesthesia from the perio therapy wore off. Again, I am pregnant and she never expressed a concern here. She also filled the top left "cavity" without any numbing, which is more evidence it didn't need to be filled. She asked if I wanted more and was going to give more until I told her I didn't want it.A few days go by and I cannot open my jaw and cannot eat anything on my bottom right tooth. I sent my X-rays to three different doctors around the country who went to prestigious dental schools and have great backgrounds, who all responded with the following: "This is criminal" "I would report them to the board" "You have beautiful horizontal bone levels. No vertical defects at all" "All of these treatments were unnecessary"When I told Dr. Corrigan and the office this they asked me to come back in because my tooth was still hurting from the unnecessary filling(s) and because I told them I'd be reporting her to the board. When I came in, the two front desk ladies were whispering about me, Dr. Corrigan refused to listen to anything I was telling her and said that I shouldn't believe other doctors just because they see an X-ray. Again, THREE other doctors told me all of these procedures were unnecessary and even if they were necessary they absolutely should've waited until my baby was born. There wasn't a single cavity visible on the X-rays and they all said I do not have gum disease (one which saw me in person 3 months ago).Needless to say, she refused to give me a refund and ended it with "we just don't see eye to eye."Unless you want to get scammed out of your money, charge up your insurance, and have unnecessary procedures done by people that didn't even know if you're allowed to get X-rays when pregnant, I do NOT recommend coming here.

I am so lucky to have found Oceanside Dental Excellence. Having been to so many different offices and having tons of work done, over the years, I still hadn’t found anyone that I fully trusted. But after coming here, I feel finally at ease with my dentist and trust that they will only do what is needed and do a good and thorough job. The girls at the front are great, they hygienist that helped me, Tanya was amazing and so kind and personable, Jamie, an assistant, is gentle, so nice and is very thorough and puts you at ease. I have been working with Dr. Corrigan and I love her!!! She has helped with cosmetic procedures and has created a great plan for all of my treatment. Can’t recommend her and the whole team enough!

To say that I am fortunate to have found Oceanside Dental Excellence is an understatement. My first experience was with Dr. Piper Dankworth, who is now my permanent dentist. Dr. Stephen Dankworth has also filled-in when Dr. Piper was at training or at their other office located in Carlsbad. It took me several months to research dental offices in the Oceanside area after my dentist's office was sold to a dental salesman. The new methodology of dental offices is not my idea of a pleasant experience; and, I can honestly say that the Dankworth's practice is old school in its approach to making a patient feel that they are in charge of their dental decisions. It's been over one year since I made the change and I am so happy that I chose Oceanside Dental Excellence.

Dr. Piper, Kimberly, Jamie, and everyone at this office are spectacular! Very friendly and welcoming. I really appreciated how the numbing shot didn’t hurt a bit. A stubbed toe hurts more than the numbing injection! I avoid the dentist, but Oceanside Dental Excellence showed me there is no reason to avoid at all. If you need a new dentist, you’re in wonderful hands here. Highly recommend.

I've been a patient at Oceanside Dental Excellence for over a year, and I can confidently say it's an outstanding practice. Dr. Piper Dankworth, along with hygienist/dental assistants Jamie and Cynthia, are exceptionally attentive and sensitive to individual needs. Their care extends beyond mere dental work; they consider past trauma and tooth densities, ensuring a comfortable and personalized experience. With their expertise and compassion, I wholeheartedly give them a 5/5 rating.
