Dr. Maddocks is the best dentist I have found since relocating to Carlsbad. I have been to many local dentists and did not have much confidence until finding his practice. He is thorough and takes the time to explain everything. If you are looking for great dental care, I don't think it gets better than Dr. Maddocks and his team at Coast Dental. Even the cleaning was great - gentle and thorough. Highly recommend!!!

I do not write reviews that often, but I feel compelled to do so after my visits at Coast Dental in Oceanside! My drive to their office is over an hour from our house, but we never hesitate to come here for dental work!I cannot stress enough how professional and friendly the staff is. Each time we leave from an appointment we feel like we just left a family member's house. The staff always treats us with a personal touch that we have never experienced at any other dentist office.We appreciate how thorough and honest they are and appreciate their follow up phone calls after our appointments checking in on us. It is refreshing to go to a dentist without them pushing additional services on you.Well done Coast Dental.

Had quite a bit of dental work done here today and although a bit nervous for me the staff and I mean the entire staff is amazing. They take the time to explain everything that is getting done and it is very apparent that they all take great pride in what they do.Strongly recommend this Dentist, if you are looking for a place to go because of tooth pain, this dental office is the place.You will be glad you went here.Thanks for making my visit much easier and a good experience.

I RARELY leave google reviews, but felt like I need to. Previous visits to the practice left me feeling less than impressed with how hectic and rushed it felt (the hygienist literally told me she was going to be right back and went to work on another patient), but I continued to schedule because it’s close to my home. I should have never rescheduled after that, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately today I experienced one of the worst dental cleanings I’ve ever had. The polishing machine didn’t work and I had to remind her she needed to polish my teeth before letting me leave. When the machine finally did “work” it was as though it wasn’t even on. I’m pretty sure my sonicare does a better job. She also started flossing my teeth before rinsing anything off, which if you have sensitive gums you know how much toothpaste can burn. The hygienist was nice and great to be around, but it just wasn’t a good cleaning. Overall, I felt feeling like I didn’t even see the dentist because my teeth still felt like they had grime on them.

I read the reviews, called the office and felt this could be the place where I can feel comfortable. Robyn was the best! But when I have a concern, the last thing I think a professional dentist should said is "I don't have time, I have a lot of patients waiting" Dr. Maddocks i waiting a while sometime for you, and watch you talk to staff. I think you could've spear more than the 3 mins you spend with me. And on my way out hearing "imagine working here" was the icing on the cake, and let's me know I am not the only one who thinks he's an a**
