It’s puzzling to see so many great reviews here. Both my husband and I had the absolutely worst experience with a dental office, ever. I should have walked away from the first appointment but could not imagine the extent of malpractice here. Dr Jiang placed a faulty crown on my implant, denied doing so and the office staff charged 3x the typical price after insurance. They also either don’t understand basic accounting or pretend to not understand it. It took 6 months to get refunded through a grievance filed with my insurance and FSA card. The office contested it and it had to go through arbitration. They are only experts at taking advantage of honest people. It all ended well for us but, if I knew, I would have definitely avoided the whole experience.

As a new patient with Delta Dental insurance, I had a great experience at Rancho Penasquitos Dentistry. I let them know ahead of time that I only wanted what was covered by my insurance. Dr. Jiang and the staff were wonderful. They did thorough ex-rays, exam, and a teeth cleaning. Suggested a replacement filling to solve a gap between teeth issue, that I may have done in the future. They were willingly respectful of staying with in my insurance coverage. I look forward to continuing as a patient in this office far into the future.

Just started with Delta Care USA and did extensive reading of reviews before picking this practice. My experience there today was not good. There was no warmth or personal interest shown me by one member of the staff. Dr. Dawson, the hygienist, the front desk staff, and the financial person who went over the charges of the procedures they recommended had no bedside manner, not rude but not warm. I wanted a cleaning only since I just had full xrays 6 months ago, which I shared, but was pressured to let them do new xrays and deep cleaning with laser treatment and to begin a 3 to 4 month schedule. I left my prior dentist due to cost since she didn't accept my new insurance and made that clear, but was still shown a proposal that would have cost more than just paying cash at my prior dental office. It felt like being scolded when I repeatedly said I just want what insurance covers. The worst part was waiting 40 minutes for the hygienist. I arrived at 8:15 and didn't leave until 10:30. The office was clean and the equipment up to date, so that was a plus. Left feeling disappointed and stressed.

Very happy with my experience here; office was very clean and professional. Went for a regular cleaning and when other issues arised with my teeth, Dr. Dawson took the time to explained what was needed and allowed for many questions before she proceeded with the additional work.Very pleased with the office, will remain longtime patient here.

Dr. Steven Jiang is the kindest and most caring dentist I’ve ever met. I was initially worried about the procedure and unfamiliar with dental terminology, but he took the time to explain everything in detail, both in English and Mandarin, ensuring I fully understood. He made me feel at ease, constantly checking on me throughout the procedure. Thanks to his expertise and compassion, I was able to get all my fillings done with minimal pain and no anxiety. I’m truly grateful for his care!
