604 Dental Reviews
It's surprising to see some of these reviews. I will speak from my own experience.I have been coming here for 5 or 6 years. The clinic used to be called some other name and the Dr. was different but I have never had any issues.Dr. Chan and his staff are very attentive and accommodating. I always feel comfortable in their hands. I never felt Dr. Chan recommended some dental work I did not require. In fact, I asked Dr. Chan for two crowns to fix my tooth discolouration. That's what brought me to this review page. I got the crowns today and I cannot be happier. And Kitty from reception, she is always on point, went out of her way to fix my prescription (my legal name has changed). The pharmacy was so strict but Kitty did everything very promptly and I had my problem solved within 10 minutes. By the way, this was right before the clinic closed for the day. Is this good customer service or what?
Mar 29, 2019 · E DI moved to the community recently, and I was looking for a new dentist. A local mom referred me to Dr. Chan’s office, and my first visit was a pleasant surprise! His clinic is new and very clean. Dr. Chan took me on a tour of the clinic, and showed me his gadgets. He was great with my kids, and was able to do a full check-up and cleaning of both of them. I have an 18 month old, so I wasn’t very hopeful he could have done anything, but he put on a cartoon, and that seemed like a good distraction. He was very gentle with the kids, and let them pick out toys afterwards. He had some good toys so they were quite happy!Overall, the staff members were friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed energetic and passionate about what they do. It was convenient as well because they dealt with the insurance directly. Thanks again Dr. Chan and team!
Nov 15, 2017 · Christine LI've been going to this location for over 11 years now as it was close to where I used to live and I've had 3 dentists. The first dentist wasn't as good as the other two. Dr. Ng was the second dentist I had but then she retired so now it is Dr. Chan. It has been the same receptionist and she is very friendly and good at providing reminders of upcoming appointments.Dr. Chan is good, the staff are friendly and they explain the procedures thoroughly to me prior and during. I've recommended them to a couple of people.I've done Invisalign through here and Dr. Chan provided the image of how my teeth would look after, depending on how long I kept the Invisalign. Of course, the longer you have them, the straighter the teeth. For myself, I didn't need perfect teeth, I just wanted straighter ones than before It was a good experience.
Apr 15, 2022 · Andrew SumDentists are IMHO, as much artists as they are scientists and the practice of dentistry involves not only rigorous training/skill but also integrity and being accountable to patients. Dr. Jason Chan checks off all the traits of a great dentist that I so outline. Please allow me to outline why I have such high praise for Dr. Chan; I came to him on the basis of great Yelp reviews and compliments of a totally inept and quite shady ex-dentist. This near quack basically destroyed one of my teeth and had the nerve to then tell me that he has done all he could to correct his gross malpractice, and that he wants to then just extract that tooth.Dr Chan carefully examined my tooth and laid out the choices I had – of course including extraction and dentures but also him making me a much more attractive and easier- to-care-for cap/bridge to abut to an adjacent tooth. He cautioned that this will be quite challenging, but that he is up to it if I was. So that is what we embarked upon last year with him fashioning me a nice, color matched enamel cap. I went off very happy that I managed to keep my tooth and then had a visually attractive set of teeth. But an oft-repeated childhood admonition to always thoroughly masticate my food had resulted in my having a very forceful bite and of course my nice enamel cap cracked last Summer. Dr. Chan tried a short term fix but of course this didn’t last and he then told me that “since it’s less than a year” he will talk to his dental technician to agree to make another cap but made of steel to replace as my bite is just too strong. Dr. Chan spent A LOT of time on me, preparing all that was needed when he had so little to work with, and just completed my treatment today.Afterwards, I went up to Kitty - his super-efficient and ever so helpful receptionist (I never waited over 10 minutes for any of my appointments) – and she told me “No, no charge today as Dr. Chan told me it’s covered already.” All that work and he did not charge me a penny! And after nearly a whole year has gone by since!I hope my long review clearly explains why I have so much trust and admiration for Dr. Jason Chan’s professionalism and integrity, and that you will consider him for your dental work.
Dec 11, 2019 · Joseph T. TanSome of their staff are very friendly, but still, can't recommend this place. I was with their predecessor, Dr Ng, who did a good job, but with the new crew I had the impression that I was shooed through check-ups and treatment, and blowing a year's worth of insurance budget within one or two months was more important than professionalism, let alone my well-being as one of their patients:One time a dentist noticed something at a canine, but didn't take notes as to what/where exactly it was -- isn't that her responsibility? -- next time I came in, the main dentist didn't know what she was referring to. He eventually found something and gave me a filling. It broke. I came back in and he replaced it. The replaced filling broke again. Their next step might have been a crown--for a tooth that my new dentist told me was otherwise perfectly healthy. So thanks, but no thanks. This is about one's health after all.
