Was seen here for dental cleaning for a few years. That experience was sub-par and Stephens seemed more interested in engaging with his young female assistant, rather than listen to his patient.The main issue, is when I asked him if having my permanent retainers removed would cause shifting. He asked how long it had been since they were placed and with that information said, “absolutely not.” The retainers were removed and my teeth proceeded to shift. Now, I’ve had to spend thousands of dollars to fix a mistake that was created solely by Stephen’s incompetence.When I called Stephens to address the issue, he stated he would never recommend such a thing. When i asked for medical records of the procedure, there was no record of the removal of my permanent retainers. The odd thing about his behavior and obvious lies, is that he advised my brother that removal of his retainers’ would not cause shifting of the teeth, with the exact same results (not sure if my brother attempted to obtain records).Either way; he is dishonest and incompetent.

Very professional all around! Dr. Stephens is very detail oriented and has gone over and above to help not just me but my wife who has extensive dental issues. He drove to Simi Valley to meet with both of us at his lab's facility to go over her dental appliance needs. The staff is wonderful as well. They are extremely busy but very efficient, attentive and friendly!

Dr. Stephens explains each move he needs to make beforehand. This is so special because it relaxes the patient immediately.. I have seen many dentists over the years and none did this. I am so impressed with Doc Stephens and highly recommend him. Also he has the best and nicest staff who will answer all your concerns starting with Julia the office manager.
