I can only give a positive review because that is all that I have experienced. To say that I have had a crippling fear of the dentist is an understatement. This was evident in the state of my oral hygiene because I had not seen a dentist in over 30+ years. Because of this I had to have 2 teeth extractions and a root canal. All those words together (root canal, extractions) almost put me in a coma of terror. But, I will say, the staff and especially Dr. Jay had put me to ease so successfully that I was able to sit in the chair for almost 5 hours to get all procedures done in one visit (I do not know if this is typical). They constantly asked me if I was feeling ok or if I needed a break. They must have read my apprehension (I didn’t hide it well) and acted appropriately to keep me calm. They kept me updated as to what they were doing and explained even through graphics what was happening. As for crowns and bridgework, they did not pressure me but gave me the best advice on how to go forward. I have opted for veneers to make my smile the best it can be and I am very excited. So I went from going into my worst nightmare…to making my dreams come true.Their office is clean and up to date with dental technologies and I felt confident that I was getting the best dental care possible.Dr. Jay and the whole staff, including the front desk and dental assistants are extremely friendly and caring as well as highly knowledgeable in their fields for an all around positive experience.I have been told that even though they still have the same name, they have revamped as of recent, so I cannot attest to any negative reviews of past. All I know is that currently, the experience is top notch and highly recommended.

Dr.jay is awesome & the 2 Dental AssistantsI was seen same day I called for terrible tooth pain, With Such short notice I had my 3 kids with me , and they went above and beyond to help me out juggling them .He’s so kind, patient, helpful, reassuring & calm and Relatable .Hard to find a Dentist like this anymore .Me and my whole family have found the place !Dental assistant put on Netflix and the other let me hold my 1 year on my lap until we begin procedure . You guys killed it . Thank you for making a mama like me feel welcome.

My first visit there about 2 years ago was not very good. I told the dentist that I could still feel pain in my mouth but he continued with the extraction. My leg slipped off of the chair twice and he got agitated with me and walked out of the room. By this time I just wanted to get out of there so I let him finish pulling the second tooth pain and all. I went again on 10/16/24 for more extractions and was relieved to see that he wasn’t there anymore. The new dentist that I had explained everything in full detail and was so kind and gentle. I give them a very good recommendation.

I have been with Shelton dental group for a while now. I had an appointment today and I'm going to let you know something very importantly. I had Stephanie as my dental assistant. I was so nervous. But her bedside manner is excellent. And then, another assistant named mirelli I believe, entered the room and was so rude to Stephanie that it made me so uncomfortable. I recommended you ahead of time ask for Stephanie or anyone else. It upset me, and Stephanie reassured me again. I had Dr. J this time. He found an infection and the procedure would have been longer than what we previous thought. I had a very important doctors appointment after and told him I'd have to be done by a certain time. He did an amazing job and made sure that I had plenty of time to get to my appointment. The girls at the front are not very friendly. Very little interest in having a relationship with any of the staff, other than the doctors. I've been at this practice for a little over a year now and these have been my observations. A big thank you to Stephanie and Dr. J! I hope that Maine the Rapport that Stephanie and Dr. Jay Cari may rub off on the other medical assistant and even the girls at the front desk. We can only hope.

I just wanted to say is that I want to give my respect for DR. J he did a Tremendous job for me and a good person as well who haves a heart also not only save my teeth but also he save my life too.But he could've done it without his amazing ability, and his unique experience & passion for saving teeth 🦷including his amazing well trained staff members that I love & respect (Stephanie & Mireli) who are also great, hardworking,funny young people who I have a great bonds with. including Dr J as well. Sometimes people can be picky and trust issue from health and financial from dental places & others.Can't blame them.But even know they're are alot people have problems with trust issues (including myself)but the only way to let them save your teeth and your life is by giving them a chance of hope & clarity & smile.😁
