Feel kind of bad posting this but I agree with the other reviews, this place feels shady. The first time I went in I didn’t have dental insurance and for the exam, x-rays and cleaning (very brief I might add), it was somewhere around $150.Then I got dental insurance thinking that it would lower the cost, but the next time I went in the prices were all different and somehow the same services ended up being $300 (of which, go figure, about $150 was covered by insurance). And this time the cleaning lasted, no exaggeration, maybe 3 minutes. I was naive and thought I had just done a really great job brushing but looking back that can’t be right.The final time I went in, before I even opened my mouth they brought in this tool to measure the depth of my gums which I’ve never, in my life, had done before. They told me my gums were infected and that I’d need two antibiotic injections which were each $125 and were not covered by insurance. I asked if it would go away on its own and they basically just pressured me into doing it, felt strange.Anywho I found a much better dentist who doesn’t pull any of that and I now feel comfortable saying going here was a bad experience. Save yourself a few hundred (or thousand) dollars and find a better place ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The transition this year is evidently a downgrade. I left feeling not cared for, had a rushed cleaning, pressured to do unnecessary dental work and financially taken advantage of. Being that I asked many questions to inform myself and was still lied to is deeply upsetting and I heard it done to the guests before and after me. This does a disservice to the surrounding community of East LA. Sucks the casual shady service they know what they’re doing, 100% do not recommend. Go somewhere else. — edit, i never leave reviews but I had to for this experience.

I had to have their work redone by another more reputable dentist. My new dentist, who teaches dentistry at UCLA, was appalled at the poor quality of the filling the doctor at Monterrey hills did! It had completely detached from my tooth after only one year. Go somewhere else. This place is shady.

Had my first appointment as a new patient today at 4pm. They spent an hour taking xrays and asking me questions (I had already filled out the paperwork online so that was not included in this time), only to recommend a "deep cleaning" which costs $750 with repeat cleaning every 3 months afterwards for "maintenance". I have never heard of this before and asked for a regular cleaning instead (which is always covered by my insurance). They proceeded to reluctantly do the entire cleaning in under 10 minutes as it was now close to 5pm (an hour since my appointment time). The hygienist did not even clean all of my teeth and was very clearly rushing. Terrible quality cleaning and ridiculous business tactics. Will not be returning. Expecting to be overbilled... my regular cleanings are always 100% covered by my insurance, lets see about this time

All the Dentist staff are amazing they make you feel safe and treat you nice they did a tooth extraction and was an amazing job I needed badly so once again Thank you very much.!
