I first went to drs. John & Kate after getting my own dental insurance at my first job after researching the mercury in fillings that I had since a child. I found out that Main Street dentists were the only ones certified or recognized to take them out safely using a dental dam for the patient & the full face mask for the dentist then dispose of the mercury safely, etc. I was desperate to get the mercury out of my system as well as lead in my drinking water & all the other heavy metals that my body had been bombarded with that may or may not be sharing in the cause of my thyroid problems. (It wasn’t). I couldn’t believe that my regular dentist didn’t do that so I called & asked how they take them out. They said just like any other filling using suction, swallowing, dentist wears goggles, etc. ... (not anything like the dental dam procedure which has become standard practice for Main Street Dentists). I switched dentists with that appointment. I had my metal/mercury removed/ & tooth colored amalgam without heavy metals placed. I never looked back at my decision. I use my toothbrush & my floss. I do not lose sleep over going to the dentist every 6 months. Drs. John & his daughter, Kate make dentistry safe & easy.

Thanks for getting me in on only one day's notice. You were able to clear out that that lodged particle from between two tightly located teeth in short order. I also appreciate very much the planning for upcoming appointments for my wife, who is wheelchair bound.

I first went to see Dr. Schacherl after years of dental neglect and a mouthful of problems. He fixed everything from chipped teeth to a cracked tooth that required a root canal.The amazing thing is that it was all relatively painless because he's super careful and uses the latest techniques. My 5 and 6 year old now go to him and I've recommended him to other parents with small children. They all give him a big thumbs up.
