I am a hygienist and still get nervous when it come to my own teeth. I saw Dr Chasen today for a root canal. I had some anxiety going, but when I got there he explained everything to me in detail, which immediately gave me a sense of relief. We decided to proceed and when he gave me local anesthesia I seriously didn’t even the injection he is so skilled at what he does I could have fallen asleep, because I was so comfortable. His amazing assistant Gigi was kind and caring! They were both singing during the root canal which showed me how much they try to make your visit as calming as can be. I highly recommend this office if you’re nervous or scared about a root canal don’t be call Dr Chasen.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!I am that person who has severe anxiety when it comes to having any kind of dental work so imagine my anxiety level when my dentist told me I needed a root canal. It was 10+ anxiety!!!!I read day's worth of reviews for Endodontists in the area. The only one that stood out was Dr. Joel Chasen. He had amazing reviews and I soon found out why.The moment I walked into the office, I was greeted by the front desk staff and Scott the Office Manager. Amazing people! Scott made me laugh and reassured me that I was in good hands.I was walked back to the chair by Sandy who was the sweetest. She reassured me as well that I was in good hands and everything was going to be fine. She assisted Dr. Chasen throughout the procedure.Now, Dr. Joel Chasen. I can't even begin to say enough kind things about him. Before starting the root canal, he went over everything that he would be doing. He answered all of my questions and I had ALOT!You know sometimes when the dentist gives you novocaine before a filling you feel a pinch? Well, when Dr. Chasen gave me the novocaine I felt nothing. No pinch!He made sure I couldn't feel anything before starting the root canal and instructed me to let him know if I needed more novocaine. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He explained everything he was doing throughout the procedure and before I knew it, he was done. No pain, none, not even after the novocaine wore off, not the next day, or the day after that. NO PAIN!If you are reading this review because you need to have a root canal, Dr. Joel Chasen is the Endodontist you need to go to. He is kind, compassionate, empathic, funny, and he truly cares about his patients. And NO PAIN :-)Thank you so much Dr. Chasen and your staff! Truly remarkable people!

Wife went to get a root canal done, she dilligently requested all costs and financial information beforehand as we have been burnt before at a dentist office. Once she got all numbers she proceeded, and her experience with Dr. Alon was great, but then we received the bill and it was more than 3 times what we were told in writting. We called to find out and try to resolve or work something out and the attitude we got from Scott (Person that picked up the phone) was horrible, she rushed and gave no options to work out the issue, she simply didn't care. Needless to say we won't be using this office in the future, and it is such a bad thing as Dr Alon was great but saddly, we still have to deal with poor service from their staff.EDIT.- Dr's office reached back (Not sure if this review had anything to do with it or not as they reached back after I posted it), they worked something up with us and attitude was completely fixed, review was never mentioned. Although no review should push a change of service, we do appreciate that they wanted to do things right. As such I increased the rating and wanted to make the reader's aware.

when i tell you i am terrified of all things dentist, when i heard i had to get a root canal i panicked. my dentist referred me to dr chasen and i cannot speak more highly of him!! he made the experience pain free, the only thing i felt was the novocain needle. he completely changed the mindset i had on getting a root canal. he made sure i was comfortable and talked me through the whole process of what he would be doing to help ease my nerves. the front staff was a little unorganized when it came to my appointment itself but dr chasen was amazing and would recommend to anyone who needed a root canal, especially those who have anxiety when it comes to that stuff!

Along the years I have had to have so much dental work done that even the thought of a root canal made me a nervous wreck! Dr. Joel Chasen turns out to be a DREAM-COME-TRUE. He was calming, reassuring, personable beyond belief, and most of all--excellent at what he does! What I feared would be traumatic procedure was actually a breeze. No pain, smooth sailing--and he saved the tooth. Do not wait if you need a root canal. This entire office , in fact, is amazing, kind, and upbeat. Highly recommended!
