Inc. Reviews
Finding a dentist with RIteSmiles is very difficult. There aren't any in my area who accept it so I decided on this place as it was relatively easy for me to get to, had an appointment sooner than January and accepts our insurance. This was my son's very first time here and his first real dentist appointment ever.I won't be returning for a couple of reasons.1) The dentist failed to introduce herself to either my son or myself. Even if it's NOT a 1st appointment, it should be standard practice to say hello and introduce oneself to your patient. This was our very first time here and it was just all business. I will say, the dentist was nice, I just don't think she's the right one for us.2) The waiting room is really not at all warm or welcoming. Drab and sad. I guess not a big deal, really but it does help patients (and parents) to have a relaxing space to wait in and this wasn't it.3) My son was given a fluoride treatment (which I don't recall consenting to) however, even if I overlooked that in the paperwork, no one discussed the fluoride treatment or it's possible side effects with us. It was described as "medicine" when it was being applied. My son was very sick and vomited on the way home after the treatment.4) The dentist said my son's teeth are crowding (has only lost 4 or 5 baby teeth) and that he should go in for "wiggling" (as in laughing gas and loosening teeth that aren't yet loose). Maybe that's standard practice, but it seemed a bit extreme to me and REALLY put me off.I will say, the young man at the front desk was VERY kind and helpful - we were running late and he made sure we were still seen so we didn't have to reschedule. He was very sweet and smiled the whole time.A woman at the desk was also very nice, pleasant and helpful. She's an older woman with glasses and absolutely beautiful penmanship. No one was mean or rude during this visit, but the overall atmosphere and the curtness of the dentist didn't really make for a good first impression.Overall, this place is just NOT a vibe for us.
Nov 04, 2024 · RosaryThis place is AWFUL!!!!!!!! The dentist was VERY RUDE to my son and I. She DID NOT CARE about the anxiety my son was feeling while there. Literally cannot stand this place. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else where they care.
