Impressions Dental Reviews
I've been going here for years. I am MAD AF because I don't appreciate surprises. They know that, too. I've said this EVERY time I go, to TELL ME what $$ is going on/due, whatever.Today, AGAIN I asked them, for the "SEVERALth" time to send my last x rays over to the new dentist where I live. They sent over a form (why? Who ELSE would want them??) And I asked that they inform me. They didn't do anything after that form contact. That I sent DAYS ago.I dunno, some sort of payback for leaving a bad review before? Just to make life more difficult? Not very professional, if that's the case...neither is it cool to not give a person any warning on cost BEFORE they're there. You can't make an informed decision that way. My mechanic wouldn't do that. My VETERINARIAN wouldn't do that. So, I wouldn't know the LP vet is actually half the money as one closer to my house.Imagine you go get your car fixed, the guy says, "I don't know how much it costs" when it's THEIR business (ridiculous), and then, you finally get an answer (say, 500.00), agree to the work, THEN you get a bill for DOUBLE THAT? AYFKM?? I was told nothing about this IN ADVANCE. Which is basic business practice!Show me another business where that's even legal? I had a dermatologist on Webster and Halsted pull this, too. Nice guy, but COME ON. That's just wrong and extremely greedy. 30 minutes of time cost me about 500.00 and I HAVE "good insurance."I had two surface cavities fall out in short order. One, I was eating Aldi granola bars. I didn't think it was too hard, but ok, I go across town 9 miles (not just down the street to fix it...). Then, recently (and this is all very close together, btw) ANOTHER one fell out. This one is in front. I was just brushing my teeth. Not like I was eating rocks.I heard it might cost me like 200 bucks, after I went across town (again). And was sitting there in the chair when I heard this. So, THEN, I hear about a mouth guard cost from what, six months ago (???) That apparently is ALSO on me. Wtf?Nope, I'm going elsewhere. They've always been decent and friendly. But now I can't even get a person on the phone. It's just an answering machine. I never had this problem before now, and I'm NOT GOING to have it now, either.I've had a business 33 years. I can't IMAGINE pulling this on anyone.I ALWAYS ASKED, REPEATEDLY, to KNOW what's going on BEFOREHAND. I don't care to get a 400.00 bill I was NOT TOLD ABOUT. That's BS.Also, I wasn't told there is a window to replace a broken crown. It was INSANELY expensive when the virus started. Like 4,500. Didn't have the money. Neither this place nor the dental surgeon TOLD ME that.Parking is always a pain there, I'll be damned if I'm paying for it, either.Next time, I'll just get dental adhesive and do it myself. Also, I was put in the middle on another matter which has nothing to do with this, but it's kind of not right...
