They uses aggressive and deceitful sales tactics to pressure people to start treatment the day of the “free” evaluation. Most children will never need surgery and don’t require palate expanders unless there is a crossbite. It is always wise to get a second opinion. Also, braces can be done at any age; there is no rush. Family Orthodontics contract DOESN’T COVER ALL EXPENSES that may be accrued during the term of treatment, and they absolve themselves of liability for any damage, injuries, or errors. Many other orthodontics include all expenses during the treatment period without additional charges and bills. Family Orthodontics will bill extra even if it’s not the patient’s fault and their mistake caused PAIN to the patient. Also, DON’T PAY IN FULL; there is no worthwhile advantage, and they will still bill extra."

Additional concerns were raised regarding customer service and accreditation. "Family Orthodontics is not BBB accredited meaning they are not committed to customer satisfaction and will not resolve disputes. BBB accreditation is a standard of customer protection earned by many reputable orthodontic offices, which Family Orthodontics has yet to achieve. Family Orthodontics “patient relations department” is non-responsive unless it benefits them. The receptionists at Family Orthodontics are unwelcoming, unhelpful, and are usually talking about music concerts or food among other things. While the staff aims to expedite appointments, the overall treatment experience, overseen by Dr. Clark, falls short of expectations. The discomfort and dissatisfaction experienced by my stepchild during treatment, coupled with exorbitant and unjustified additional charges, further underscore the shortcomings of Family Orthodontics."
