Factoria Pediatric Dentistry Reviews
For those who think that your kids are too young for their first checkup. Let me tell you it’s never too early for your kids to have good dental hygiene. My son was 14 months when we scheduled our first appointment with Dr. Yun. As a new patient, they made us feel right at home. The staff was very friendly when we walked through the office door. With all the precautions taking into consideration for COVID we felt very safe. We weren’t sure how my son would handle his first dental appointment but staff were true professionals. I would highly recommend Factoria Pediatric Dentistry
Feb 03, 2021 · Steve LeeMy daughter has been going to Dr. Jimmy since she was 2. Everything was going well until she turn 11. She never had any cavities before until when she turned 11. When she was 11 Dr. Jimmy said she has 2 cavities and needs to be filled right away. I wanted to have 2nd opinion, so I took my daughter to my own dentist to have him examined my daughter's teeth and confirmed my daughter doesn't have any cavities. However, the following year I went back to Dr. Jimmy again because his hygienist cleans better. Once again Dr. Jimmy expressed urgency to have my daughter's cavities filled. He said it's going to take 2 appointmentsI scheduled an appointment to have my daughter's cavities filled in the afternoon. On the same day of the appointment, in the morning, I took my daughter to see her orthodontist. Her orthodontist said one of her baby tooth was wiggling and was going to fall out any minute. She also showed it to me how wiggly it was. It was really going to fall out by itself within a day or 2.On the same day that afternoon, I took my daughter to see Dr. Jimmy to have her cavities filled, Dr. Jimmy's assistant examined my daughter's teeth first. His assistant mentioned to me that my daughter's baby tooth was very wiggly and ready to fall out any minute. When Dr. Jimmy came in and he said he was going to remove her wiggly baby tooth that day. In addition removing the wiggly baby tooth he also filled 4 cavity fillings from one side of her mouth. I was in the room with my daughter during the whole procedure. Dr. Jimmy didn't use drill to remove any part of her so called "Cavities". I have had enough cavities done myself, so I know cavities need to be removed with drills. He also did work on her 2 pre-molars which he told me during the procedure they will eventually fall-out with in a year. If it's going to fall out by itself, why did he perform work on them at fist place if there's no sign of pain? (The pre-molars fell out within 6 months of so-called cavity fillings). For that day of services, it costed me over $200 out of pocket. The wiggly tooth that's going to fall off any minute, costed me almost $80 out of pocket for him to remove that tooth and claimed over $300 from my insurance.A few weeks later, I took my daughter in for the 2nd part of appointment to have her other side of mouth done. It ended up another 4 teeth that he claimed had cavities filled that day. It also included 2 pre-molars that fall out within a year. So the whole procedure from previously claimed 2 cavities to 8 cavities total. I just don't believe a kid can go from 0 cavity to total 8 cavities within a few months. The whole procedure total costed me almost $400 out of pocket and claimed almost $3000 from my insurance. The procedure was the last time I took my daughter to see Dr. Jimmy. Now I'm taking my daughter to my own dentist. When my daughter's new molar came out, my dentist recommended sealant on her permanent molars to prevent cavities. With same insurance, the procedure considered as preventive and costed me nothing out of pocket. As my dentist applied sealant on her while I watched, I realized what Dr. Jimmy might have applied sealant on my daughter's 8 teeth and claimed 8 cavities on my insurance and my portion out of pocket.Through the whole experience, I think what Dr Jimmy had done was insurance fraud and unethical. I wrote this review to warn parents out there so they won't be his next victim.
