The first time I visited Comfort Dental the standard cleaning was over in 5 minutes. The next “deep” cleaning took all of 10 minutes. The next time I visited was three years later (now). I was informed to send in my new health insurance card information so I did. The woman on the phone explained everything should be ready to go for my appointment the following morning. I drove an hour and a half to get to my appointment in Montrose at Comfort Dental. When I arrived the clerk explained they do not accept my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket if I wanted to get any cleaning done. Overall I have had nothing but poor experiences and interactions at Comfort Dental.I visited 3 years later (now)

Having moved from across the state recently I was looking for a new dentist. I have had good luck with Comfort Dental in the past so I chose to try the office in Montrose Co. From the moment I spoke to the receptionist, through my most recent visit, the experience has been exceptional. I have had the pleasure of Dr. Mangrum and his assistant, Haydon working together to put a crown on a tooth as well as having to extract another tooth. Dr. Mangrums professionalism is exceptional and Haydon is superior in her assistance. If you are looking for a dentist office that takes exceptional care of their clients, as well as offering a casual atmosphere, you need not look further.

Everyone was extremely kind. I usually feel pain and there was none. I’m so thankful for the entire staff. They were dedicated, professional, sensitive to my needs and did a great job.

I really like how Elizabeth does my fillings she is very gentle and polite. Always having a smile on her face and just brightens my day with her energy. She always has a positive attitude and gets her job done! I also appreciate Dr. Mangrum making sure I’m numb. And although I am afraid of dentist he makes my stay comforting. He takes great care of his patients. And I recommend Comfort Dental!

I called this office two days in a row trying to make an appointment and no answer (called during business hours) finally after two days and more attempts and messages I got a call back. I made my appointment and explained I needed teeth pulled same day because it’s hard for me to have someone watch my 3 kids and my tooth was really hurting. I came in needing teeth pulled because I was in so much pain. The dentist couldn’t be bothered to help me that day because he wanted to be out of the office by 5pm. He couldn’t even take 30 minutes to pull a single tooth (the one that hurt the most). They just took X-rays, made me sit in the chair for an hour off and on by myself then they said sorry we can’t help you today come back another day (and he wanted pull 5 teeth instead of just the 2 needing pulled) and then charged me $240. I left in tears and in pain and had the worst experience. I went with another dentist 2 days later and found out that Comfort Dental also failed to inform me that my teeth were infected and it could be plainly seen in the X-rays. They also never processed my request to transfer my records and X-rays to another dentist. After visiting another dentist and getting a second opinion, I only needed the two infected teeth pulled. Very uncooperative and unprofessional in my opinion. The hygienist was nice but the dentist was not.
