West Roxbury Dental Arts Reviews
The team here is great. I hadn’t gone to the dentist in years due to anxiety but everyone here was extremely friendly and accommodating. They are also willing to work with your schedule and are able to get you in to the calendar quickly if multiple appointments are needed. Overall, this has probably been one of the best dentists experiences I’ve had, I would recommend West Roxbury Dental Arts to anyone looking for a great, personable and caring dentist experience.
Sep 18, 2024 · Diana AlejandroI am very happy I found Dr. Modem. She is a true professional and very friendly and patient with me. The office is clean, the staff professional, and friendly. To top it off she serves our Country as a National Guard. All good reasons to schedule your next visit with her.
Aug 03, 2024 · Sonia Gomez BanreyA great and trustworthy dentistry! Dr. Modem is a professional, kind and honest doctor. The hygienist here are equally awesome! Highly recommend for you and your family! ❤️
Jun 16, 2024 · ammily pDr. Modem is a scammer. I went for a cleaning as a first time patient and she told me I had 8 cavities and that I need a $600 nightguard. She wanted me to pay in advance (this is not normal) for my fillings. In the confusion of the moment I stupidly agreed to pay for half of the fillings in order to book the appointment (again, this is not a normal practice). Something felt off, so I decided to get a second opinion. I asked them to forward my x-rays to a new dentist office and they gave me a hard time but agreed to do it for $35. They charged me $35 to send an email containing my x-rays... which my current dentist said they should have done for free. I go get my 2nd opinion, and my current dentist concluded that I should get 2 fillings. He said, and I quote, "In no world would I ever tell you that you have 8 cavities." I took that to mean that my gut was right, Dr. Modem was trying to scam me, and worse yet, potentially damage perfectly good teeth in my mouth with unnecessary fillings. When I called to cancel THREE DAYS BEFORE my scheduled fillings, she said I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. Cancelling 3 whole days in advance should not result in a ludicrous fee. So now the tally is $85 dollars for nothing. First $35 for sending an email, and then $50 for cancelling well in advance. Oh not to mention, we made the appointment 5 days after my cleaning, on a Friday no less. Meaning I was screwed from the start: two of those 5 days were the weekend, I had 1 day to book a second opinion, and they made excuses/refused to send over the x-rays for 2 days making that impossible. She railroaded me into paying in advance, which I should not have, and then gave me zero chance of cancelling without paying a $50 fee. Then when I called them to get the rest of my money refunded, which was $35 ($120-$85), she REFUSED. She legitimately tried to rob me. Dr. Modem is a calculated scammer. On top of all that, I blame myself for ignoring the first red flag, which was that the place is a dump, never been to such a run-down dental or medical office in my life. It did not look clean, it was messy and had no front desk attendant. The exam rooms are all connected with half walls and no doors, so you hear everyone's business and they hear yours...no privacy at all. Please, don't do what I did - save your time, your money and your teeth, and avoid this place at all costs.
