I had my routine cleaning last week and it reminded me what a great dental practice this is. I've been going for 5+ years now and have had many different issues, all of which were taken care of thoroughly and professionally. I love my dental hygienist Lauren for many reasons! She is truly dedicated to her work and makes cleanings a pleasant experience. Dr. M always takes the time to fully explain and discuss any issues that arise. If they took my dental insurance I would give them 6 stars :).

I hesitated in writing this review because I wasn’t certain whether I was overreacting, but upon introspection as well as discussion with a new provider, I have decided to detail my experience here to ensure others can make an informed decision about their care.My first visits at this practice were wonderful, so I would like to give credit to where it is due. However, I had several experiences here that have led to this review. The first experience was when I was getting two cavities filled. I was not given pain management for this procedure after being told I probably wouldn’t need it due to the fact that these were not “deep” cavities and simply sat on the enamel. I had never had a cavity before, so I assumed this was normal. Apparently it is not. This experience was not pleasant for me to say the least, and I was in quite a bit of pain as a result, but I thought it was just how things were done.The next experience I had that made me question the practices of this facility was when they waited until halfway through an appointment to tell me the practice was now out of network for me and I would have to pay out of pocket and later be reimbursed. When I expressed that I did not want to get any additional services in that case, such as x-rays, the dentist seemed frustrated with me and said “it’s just $200,” as if that wasn’t a big deal. Maybe my perspective is warped somehow, but $200 is a decent amount of money to have to pay unexpectedly. Also, I’m fairly certain it’s frowned upon to wait until halfway through an appointment to tell someone their insurance won’t be covering the upfront cost of the appointment.At that final appointment, I was also told I had two cavities I needed to have filled. Of course, I was not going to get them filled at a practice they did not take my insurance, so I decided to wait until I saw a new dentist to get them filled. When I did see my new dentist, they told me I did not have any cavities. At this point, I was questioning whether I ever had those previous cavities in the first place, or if they drilled my teeth without ample numbing on a whim.I don’t like handing our criticism, but these experiences have made me question this practice’s ability to render effective care to its patients. I would like to thank every dental technician I had a good experience with for their care, so as to not make this an entirely negative review. Apologies for the long-winded message.
