The entire staff was engaging and professional. Dr Alex Hanley did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable and taken care of as did those that assisted him during the procedure. Their speed and communication was great. I experienced no pain except the pinch of the anesthetic shots. The office staff called my dentist office to confirm what insurances I have. Everyone was grade A! I am telling friends and coworkers that it's a weird thing to say but this was the best root canal I ever had!

I've got an emergency same-day treatment for root canal in August 2024. The doctor and assistant were impressed by the length of my canine tooth but was not deterred of a challenge. They explained all the steps that they were doing, made a lot of photos before/in/after the operation. Maybe a bit too much x-ray photos for my liking. I'm mindful of any extra and unnecessary that I put through my body. But they explained that they need all of those for insurance. The doctor also used a laser tip to make sure all of the nerve is removed.Overall it was my first root canal experience in San Francisco and it went pretty good. I would use their services again, though at the same time I hope I won't need it at all

the care the office provided to me was top tier! dr ratiner and the assistant were so great during my procedure . getting a root canal can be scary but they easily took that fear away. Very professional staff, the lady at the front desk is super nice and helpful as well. Hopefully I NEVER have to go back to get a root canal but this is where i would go if I had to!

This is my second experience with this practice. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! RUN DO NOT WALK!! Both times, this year!, I have had the absolutely best experience. The office staff is extremely knowledgeable while maintaining a fun atmosphere and respect of each other and every patient. Zero pain, best environment, top notch equipment. Root canals reinvented. Love them.

My first root canal, not usually something people are thrilled about but this was truly a great experience. Dr. Chiu was excellent throughout, from the consultation to the actual procedure. Office is great, CT and 3D equipment, everything says all they do is root canals so if you need one, that’s where you should go.

After being there twice I can say the entire staff is warm and friendly, the treatment is high quality, and importantly, they discuss treatment options with you openly before deciding what to do. They worked with me each time to customize the experience to my budget and were incredible in working with insurance. Dr Wen is awesome!

I had my first root canal surgery today. Honestly, it was a breeze. This practice is operating at the top level - amazing staff, I felt cared for and they explained everything numerous times. And I am in relatively no pain a few hours after the procedure. Highly recommend them if you have any dental work. Excellent.

I went to see Dr. Alex Hanley at Union Square Endodontics for an infected root canal done by a previous dentist. Dr. Hanley re did the root canal and cleared up the infection. Dr. Hanley is a smart, capable and kind endodontist. I was able to arrange a visit quickly with his staff, who are very professional and good at what they do. We highly recommend Dr. Alex Hanley and his practice.
