I used to hate going to the dentist until I became a patient at Somerset Dental Group in Glastonbury about 11 years ago. Dr. Hagopian was specifically recommended by a close friend who had been a patient of his since the late 80's / early 90's when his practice was in East Hartford. (To put it to you simply, before this same friend had young children of his own, he used to make a point to schedule his regular cleanings and check-ups with Dr. Hagopian when he would drive up to visit family in CT from where he lived in NJ and VA...the practice is that good...)I was with my previous dentist for about 10 years, but I had become extremely unhappy with because they basically kept tacking on a quick filling or two at every single cleaning because it was 'fully covered' by my insurance. This went on for so long that I started looking for a second opinion as to whether it was finally time to get some crown work done even though it was not going to be fully covered by insurance vs. continuing with ad-hoc fillings here and there.When one of those last fillings broke again in the fall of 2013, Somerset & Dr. Hagopian went out of their way to squeeze me in on short notice for an emergency consult to look it. During that first visit, I truly appreciated his personable and honest approach to explaining all of the options available and what would be the best plan of action for my long term oral health. Right then and there, they were able to put on a temporary crown and set up an appointment for the full work in the following weeks.I had to have several more crowns that were truly needed spaced out over those first three years there, but I've finally been able to turn around my oral health for the better. Somerset & Dr. Hagopian were even able to help get things squared away for me to have my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon. Now when I visit for regular cleanings, the new normal is to hear how great things look and very rarely do I need additional work to keep everything on the up and up.Since starting with Somerset, I've recommended the practice without hesitation to many family members and friends -- at least 5 or 6 of whom regularly use Somerset now based on me sharing my experiences there. In addition to that, my wife and my two children go to Somerset. I really cannot recommend them highly enough.

Wonderful dentist and hygienist. Always pleased in that regard. Extremely rude office manager (Lori), and questionable billing. After years of us driving 50 minutes to your office showing our loyalty, you’ve lost our business.

I LOVE this office, I started going to see Dr. Hagopian a few years back after having not seeing a dentist in longer than I care to admit. I had quite a few things going on, some smaller repairs. Some much more involved. He didnt make me feel overwhelmed with what had to be done, he has a one day at a time approach to my dental plan and I truly feel he has my health in mind in what he recommends to address next. The staff as a whole are warm and welcoming, they make me feel so comfortable from walking in until the minute I check out. The office is clean and up to date in the decor, I wouldn't consider seeing another dentist ever! Strongly recommend!!

I love this dentist office!!! They are so personable and sweet!! They take an interest in their patients and make me feel so comfortable! They are so great with my three year old as well. She had her first real visit today and did such an amazing job making her feel safe. She said, “I love the dentist” when we left. How many toddlers can say that. Chris, my hygienist is the best. All around a super pleasant experience every time I have been there. Would definitely recommend them!!!
