During my 6yo daughter’s second visit for a couple of small fillings, she was given laughing gas and numbing gel. However, the assistant mistakenly numbed the wrong side of her mouth—the lower left—while the work was being done on the upper right... When I questioned the assistant after the numbing injection finally kicked in and my daughter calmed down a bit, the assistant claimed she’d numbed the top right side, which was untrue. When I later addressed this with Dr Karr, she claimed she “wasn’t in the room” to confirm what happened so she can’t say anything. This lack of accountability felt unprofessional... There was also no follow-up call to check on my daughter’s well-being after they closed hours ago, which furthered my disappointment. Pathetic and insensitive ???"

This review also raised concerns about billing practices: "On top of this, I discovered that although the office claims to accept all insurances, they’re not actually in-network with any, leading to unexpectedly high bills. Despite good insurance coverage, we found out we were being billed out-of-network rates, with confusing prepayment requirements each visit. Their billing manager even admitted this was the reason for the high costs after inconsistent quotes each time. Last visit they tried to call and say I owed $800 but it actually turns out I have a credit on the account still. Still waiting on my refund check to be mailed out."

They are thorough and helpful and SO nice to my daughter. I wouldn’t take her anywhere else. ? I wish I had a dentist like this when I was a kid."
