I think it’s safe to say that most people don’t like going to the dentist. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at KFD. Everyone was incredibly friendly, thorough, and efficient. I have never waited more than a few minutes to get called in, and they nice lady at the desk is very helpful and understanding.Once called back I had an excellent experience with radiology technician (Megan) who did a great job taking care of my teeth and ensuring I was comfortable throughout.Dr Still really went above and beyond restoring my bite, and has excellent bedside manner. She was very busy and was jumping from patient to patient, but never gave the impression of being rushed at any point. Even with all the work I had done at KFD, it was literally painless. I was truly blown away at their attention to detail, how easy they made everything, and it was done so efficiently! I can’t believe I’m writing a review of how great my experience was at the dentist but here we are and it’s well deserved. Thank you KFD!

On July 3rd, 2024, I had an appointment with Floyds Knobs Family Dental. All my previous appointments and subsequent billings had gone well before this one. However, at this appointment, my dental hygienist, Shayna Hamilton, who was very pleasant, asked me whether I wanted an additional procedure to go along with my routine dental clean and check up. I informed her I was OK with that if it was covered within my dental allowance. She said she would check with Jana at the front desk to review my coverage.Shayna came back and informed me that Jana said I was already over my allowance. I informed her that I didn’t want to do the extra procedure and asked her how much out of pocket the routine exam and cleaning would be. She went to Jana and came back and told me it would be $89.35. I said OK let’s go ahead with the routine cleaning and exam. On my way out, I stopped at the front desk and provided Jana my credit card to pay my $89.35 dental charge, which she processed.A couple of weeks later, I received a statement from Floyds Knobs Dental showing the $89.35 charge I had paid for and a balance of another $89.35. I called Floyd Knobs Dental on July 24th and spoke to Jana regarding why I was being charged another $89.35. She indicated that she had told me when I was in the office that there may be some adjustments by the insurance company and that there may be some additional charges.Jana is not being truthful. Jana and I didn’t have any conversations on this matter. The conversations I had were with Shayna who spoke with Jana. And, Shayna stated unequivocally that Jana said my out of pocket was $89.35 and no caveats were mentioned.I don’t like being lied to or misled. It’s not the money I have done wella as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), corporate executive, and a financial consultant to Fortune 500 companies. It’s the principle. Consequently,I will no longer use Floyds Knobs Family Dental for dental procedures.
