Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, P.C. Anne Nghiem, DMD Reviews
The doctor was incredibly rude to my child right in front of me. He has sensory issues so the dentist isn’t easy for him. She showed zero sensitivity to the issue, had no patience and was repeatedly condescending to him to the point it brought me to tears after the appointment. I thought maybe it was an isolated incident until I saw other reviews across the web stating the same behavior by her. I immediately switched dentists for my children. Never again. On a positive note the dental assistants as well as front desk staff were amazing with kids, very polite and wonderful to work with. It’s a shame the dentist was not.
Jul 19, 2024 · Kaicee EtheridgeYour child will get a cleaning in under 10 minutes. Totally unacceptable. Your child is definitely treated like a number here. Quantity of patients over quality. Don't bother trying to speak to the dentist about your concerns she will defend her employees and practice and get defensive instead of listening to a patients concerns.Wanted to add we made the switch to Pediatric Dental Associates and the care was like night and day. My son had a 45 minute cleaning and very thorough exam. Healthy Smiles should be embarrassed.
Jun 27, 2024 · K. L.The office staff and Dr. Nghiem are amazing! I love how comfortable the kiddos are from the time they walk in to when they leave.
Oct 01, 2024 · Justin SeguinI swear, zero stars is still too much.In 2021, I brought my 2/3 year old son who has autism. He at the time had SEVERE social anxiety, let alone doctors. His teeth weren’t in the greatest conditions because trying to brush his teeth at home was a brawl out. The doctor proceeded to lecture me about how he shouldn’t drink juice cause of the sugar, shouldn’t drink milk because it’s thick, almond milk is healthy but still heavy. So basically told me to only give him water. When she asked me his diet I told her he’s an EXTREMELY picky eater, which if you know anything about autism, their diet is very picky and specific. And she told me if I starve him long enough he’ll eat anything. Then started to lecture me about “where is dad? Why isn’t he here?”. My husband was at work. I never went back. This year I was in need to bring my son to the dentist, I was asking around about dentists that take husky and my friend told me about this office - forgetting I’d been there before - I went today, and he had a melt down. Being almost 6 and almost as tall as me the fight is not nearly as tamable as it was when he was 2/3. He was screaming bloody murder and thrashing and she’s telling me to lay on him to hold him down while telling him “stop kicking me, don’t kick me”. After 2 minutes of screaming I could r put him through another second and stopped her. I told her enough, we’re done. I didn’t even bother scheduling a next appointment, I leftEither she knows NOTHING about kids with special needs, or has no kids at all. If she wants well behaved easy going patients, work on adults. Not children.
Sep 21, 2023 · Renee SturgesThe doctor is not at all kid friendly for this to be a pediatric office. She was not at all patient with my child and seems really rude and dismissive. I was uncomfortable with how she was talking to him as he’s only 4 and it was his first procedural appointment. Some grace would have been nice! The staff upfront is also rude and all the hygienists (except for one) act as if they’ve never been around children before. Our time is not well cared for during the appointments and we do a lot of waiting, which is hard for kids. Do better please.
