My family has been going to this dentist for over 30 years!I have always felt the office staff were nice and courteous but I’ve never felt that the care I received was proper and my mom would constantly push me to return so I would.Now after moving out of state and realizing I had a past due bill from my last visit 2 years ago of ONLY $473, I call to apologize for the delay and explain how I think it just got lost in the shuffle with my mail and my move and ask how I can arrange to settle the balance and get my records for my new dentist and I’m replied with being told my records will be held for ransom until my bill is settled!!! Imagine my shock and offense!So basically I have to explain that they are not allowed to break HIPAA just to get paid and I just couldn't believe that that was actually said to me and that this is how they practice business!My divorced parents and both of our families have been going to these people like I said for over 30 years, and I'm almost positive we've never had a billing issue ever, and THAT is their response?!Are you actually kidding?!I was so upset I had to hang up!The money that we have put into this business for over 30 years has probably paid the staff’s wages, mortgages, and car payments not to mention sending their children to I'm sure some of the best schools and colleges and this is how we're treated?!I am seriously so offended and actually hurt!Business who threaten to break HIPAA laws and withhold your records from you, which are OUR RIGHT TO OWN, are NOT WORTH SPENDING OUR MONEY WITH!HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO LOYAL CUSTOMERS/PATIENTS LIKE THIS!Disgusting. Period.
