These folks are great. My insurance company was jerking me around big time, denying a crown that needed to be installed on top of an implant that was installed last year. This is my first implant and boy oh boy, it’s been quite a bumpy ride. It also provided an invaluable learning experience in understanding the language of insurance companies. My insurer paid for my implant installation last year that wasn’t installed at Connect Family Dental but rather by an oral surgeon.However, starting January 1, 2024, my insurance company denied coverage for the completion of my implant for the necessary installation of a crown. I appealed the denial of coverage and won. My insurer ultimately agreed to pay for the crown but not without a lot of back and forth bickering and ultimately, the letter of appeal.Dr. Patel and the entire staff were incredibly patient, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about dentistry and dealing with insurance companies. This is a tightly run operation run by folks that know what they’re doing. They also care greatly about what they’re doing.I’m eagerly awaiting for the arrival and installation of my new crown. I trust these folks because they demonstrated an interest and a passion in what they do. They treated me with respect and compassion. I wish I can give them a 0. PSA if you smoke don’t smoke before appointment . They do not tell you over the phone but have a sign on “the door” Doctor “allergic to smoke”. referred by word of mouth because they did walk ins. Since Jan it has been appointment confusing and the ladies at the front desk not knowledgeable on how to add your insurance to your profile . Finally got an appointment for June . This place was going to be a 2nd dentist to me as I go somewhere else and need another dentist to do other work. I am a travel nurse! Live in Connecticut but work out of the state . I just worked a 12 hour shift and drove 4 hours to my appointment in Connecticut. Upon arrival I was checked in and told I will do paper work . After about 5 mins I was asked by the front desk assistant do I smoke . Answered yes. Was told the doctor is allergic and will not see me….. superrrrr unprofessional. It only take 2 mins to tell patients over the phone the doctor is allergic to smoke and prefers patients to not smoke upon arrival. Not only did I feel disrespected after driving 4 hours down and told I can reschedule . When ask to speak to the dentist I was told he was busy. HOW my appointment is at 3:00pm it’s now 3:10pm so I would have been waiting for him . Lies HE didn’t want to explain and clearly was giving bias treatment. Lots of unprofessionalism. Than did not know the reason for my visits after this was told on the phone multiple times. Was told by the office manager it was just a reschedule in the system and I would need my insurance to approve the work I need done … horrible experience , unprofessional dirty office . Bathroom was dirty , office looks like a unfinished basement 2 young girls in the front with no customer service skills . Felt the treatment was based on the environment . Neverrrrr again . They are very respectful they get the job done if anybody have missing teeth I advise you to go to family dental u will be happy you did I'm happy very good job

It is hard for someone with anxiety to feel comfortable. With that said, the staff and Dr. Patel has always made me feel comfortable and at ease with the work they have done. The place is clean and there is always parking.
