I have been a patient at the New Milford location of this practice for over five years and have always had pleasant experiences. Since I now reside in Newtown, they advised me to transfer my care to that location. I typically schedule cleanings twice a year and recently called the office to confirm my next appointment.Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant conversation with an individual named Kaitlyn, who was quite rude and condescending. She informed me that the New Milford and Newtown offices have different systems and that she could not access my schedule. Despite clarifying that my appointment was for the Newtown location, she continued to be dismissive and only offered me an appointment at the end of the month.I reminded her that my appointment had been scheduled back in February, considering that the Newtown office is only open two days a week. After some resistance, she finally checked and confirmed that I indeed had an appointment. It would be beneficial for the staff to explore all available options before resorting to an unfriendly demeanor with patients.Regrettably, this experience has prompted me to seek alternative dental care providers after my next cleaning, which I have waited six months to receive. While the practice may refer to itself as a "caring dental group," my recent interaction suggests otherwise.

Just left Caring Dental in Newtown and the staff could not have made me feel more comfortable. Feeling slightly embarrassed having gone over a year without a visit because my fear of dentist offices and drilling. Such kind people, never at any moment did I feel any sort of judgment, the x-rays and cleaning could not have been anymore pain free. Never thought I would say this but fantastic experience having my checkup today ! Thanks again !

I have been with this practice since 2008 and have been very happy with the care I have received. The hygienists are personally enthusiastic about dental hygiene. Dr. Jang is knowledgeable, friendly, and seems happy to see me when I am there. The office manager Sara genuinely cares about the practice and its patients. The entire staff is very accommodating with those who experience anxiety at the dentist as well. Thank you!

I chose this new dental office for the name, Caring Dental Group and also due to our insurance.Reese the hygienist is simply the Best. She is professional, thorough, kind and empathetic. I would follow her if she moved to a different drs office. Reese deserves 5 stars!Dr. Jang has zero bedside manner and seems to be on a mission to provoke fear and hopelessness. I am open to solutions to problems but was told my teeth are going to fall out or need to be removed! I was told there are no solutions except getting a denture because of bone loss while she exclaimed “why bother with getting an implant when you have no bone”, etc. She is extremely crass and confrontational, and doesn’t offer any solutions. I had to tell her I didn’t like the direction the conversation was going and asked where I should go to handle my teeth issues. Perhaps it’s my insurance that she felt she could get away with her condescending behavior towards me. I have been a physician for 23 years and would never talk to a patient in that way. After todays interaction with Dr. Jang, I won’t be going back. Nor will I refer to her. I feel bad for people that don’t know to question their doctor and understand that there are options. All patients deserve respect, care and offered referrals to other practitioners when necessary.Reese, I wish you the best. Thank you for being the Caring part of the group, Your amazing!
