The dentist had great bedside manners but the billing department is BS! The dentist decided to fix a root canal that a previous dentist had did a "terrible job" on and my insurance did not pay the bill due to it being previous work done on it. (This is something a dentist should know would happen and should warn the patient ahead of time) So I received an outstanding balance in April. I informed them that I will make payment in July and they did not allow me to get cleaning or any other service until I made payment. I made the payment the beginning of August. Come December I just check my credit and they have put the bill in collection and it states as of November I owe Buckhead Family Dentistry. First off, I paid the owing balance months ago so why is this on my credit! I would of never went to receive additional service in August if I knew they would put this on my credit. Just like you was quick to put it on my credit, your billing department should of been quick to remove it once it was paid. So I called them with my concerns and after being on hold for a long period of time they came back to say well we did get your payment in August but now you owe a remaining balance of $114 because your insurance did not fully cover your x-rays in August and you owe $50 for canceling your appointment which I called ahead of time to cancel but they did not answer and the fact that I had just made the appt 3 days before so I did not inconvenience no one cause no one was on the books and I called ahead of time to cancel! The breaking point: I did not get X-Rays in August because the dental hygienist said she had to leave and go home and couldn't not do cleaning and x-rays so I chose cleaning so why I was charged for x-rays that my insurance did not fully pay.... why was my insurance billed at all if I never receive x-ray services mmmhmmm??? I won't be returning!
