Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. It started with an assistant who entered the room and did not know why I was there. She did not know I was a new patient and began to prep me for an injection. I had to tell her that I was not there for an injection. When Dr. Weyman came in we spoke about my symptoms for a few minutes and he examined my jaw and I left with directions to eat soft foods for 1 month and then come back. I knew in advance this initial consultation would not be covered by insurance so I paid at the time. What I didn't know was that this "recommended follow-up" was going to cost me additional money. I have had follow-ups after root canals and other general dentistry issues and the follow-ups have not resulted in further billing. When I returned a month later and spoke for 3 minutes with him, he instructed me to continue to manage my symptoms myself and to call him if it ever got worse. For those words of wisdom I received a bill for $120.00. When I called to ask to speak to Dr. Weyman about my follow-up visit, I was told he was not available to speak to patients about these matters. What adds to my frustration is that as I left the office that day I asked if there was a charge for the follow-up and I was told no. The practice of charging for this follow-up visit seems very greedy, as the fee for the initial visit is hefty and not eligible for insurance coverage at all. I think Dr. Weyman and his office need to review the policy on follow-up appointments. The significant fee for the initial visit should include 1 follow-up at least.

Had a great first (and hopefully only) appointment with Dr. Weyman yesterday. He and his staff are professional and friendly. Dr. Weyman was patient with me, and thoroughly explained what he believed is my problem. He offered suggestions to deal with my pain on my own and my regular dentist, but did not make me feel in any way that I was wasting his time - or mine. I highly recommend him and if I need an oral surgeon in the future won't hesitate to return to Dr. Weyman.
