Initially referred for a bonded retainer and Dr Philips and the office staff were so amazing that I brought my son back for braces. There are so many wonderful things about the practice! First, the office is beautiful! Immediately you are comfortable in the space. Second, the front desk staff of ladies are sweet and thorough. There has never been any confusion in terms of the process of checking in and out. And third, the bedside manner of Dr. Philips was warm, which we all know is important for those of us with white coat syndrome. I encourage anyone in the search for an orthodontist to visit Bates Orthodontics in Chester. I have since referred many friends.

We Love Bates Orthodontics, we been on the braces journey with them for a year now! Never had a bad visit all staff so friendly and welcoming. The Dentist himself is always knowledgeable and warm. He seems to never forget a face. I highly recommend Bates as your orthodontist. Feels like family.

My daughter got braces at Bates and it was a great experience. The office staff is positive and welcoming and visits were always on time and financial information was explained well. I grew up with a mother who was a dental lab tech in an orthodontist office and learned a lot about the process through her office and I had high standards, which were met at Bates Orthodontics. I love seeing her smile.

I would like everyone to know that this orthodontist is the best in VIRGINIA, they have always treated me with love,care, respect, and so much more, from the doctors to the nurses it’s a wonderful time! You may come in there nervous if it’s your first time but you will leave with a smile on your face and know that you are welcome, loved, and wanted by them! It’s to the point where if I’m bored or have nothing to do I go and see them just to laugh and get a highlight of my day! This orthodontist is one of a kind, once you are a client of Bates ortho, you are a part of the BATES FAMILY! Going to the orthodontist for an appointment is the highlight of my day because I know that I will have a good time but still most importantly GET TAKEN CARE OF! I Recommend this orthodontist to anyone! Aye I have TWO favorite nurses there! Oh just an FYI ( Doctor Phillips is the best! Sorry Doctor bates ♥️
