Let’s see. Went to this place because it was close to me and was in my dental insurance network. Had a little sensitivity in a back tooth so needed to get it checked out. Right away noticed the front desk ladies are full of attitude. Not sure why. If you’re not happy with your job, find another. They did an xray and told me I need a root canal. Showed me half of my tooth being black and decayed under a filling. So based on one xray image, the doc glanced at it was like yeah root canal. I never had a root canal before so I am clueless and believe them. One of the workers comes back into the room with the charges for the root canal totaling $3,500 + out of which my insurance will pay $1000 and my out of pocket cost would be $2,500 ish. Told them I didn’t know I will need root canal so I didn’t come prepared for this procedure. She walks out by rolling her eyes and saying okay. I thank the doctor and go get my cleaning done by the hygienist. The whole thing didn’t feel right. I rescheduled my so called root canal for another day, thanked them, and left. Shared info with friends and family and they all were like root canal max should be $1,000 - $1,300. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I got to MY dentist who is not in network but at this point I don’t trust anyone anymore. She takes 3 Xrays, says I don’t see a root canal need. Looks into my mouth, says your old filling has a crack so that may cause sensitivity. Numbed me, took the whole filling out, exposed the tooth all the way to the nerve and says your tooth is clean, there is no decay, no infection. You just needed a new filling. Which she did. So tell me now, how isn’t this 1 star earned by this totally crooked place. I was gonna get a forced root canal when it was not needed based on 1 bad angled Xray, pay $3k for it and swallow it with their served attitude… no thank you! Best of luck screwing others over.
