Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at Advanced Valley Dental appear to be varied. One patient reported a "fantastic" cleaning experience with "fantastic results," specifically praising the receptionist and the hygienist Marissa for their niceness and contributing to a comfortable atmosphere.
However, another detailed review presents significant concerns regarding Dr. Orr's professional conduct. This patient, who had been visiting for about a year and enjoyed the services of the dental hygienist, described Dr. Orr's appointments as rushed with a lack of communication or explanation regarding necessary procedures. The reviewer expressed doubt about the quality of a filling replacement and was particularly alarmed by a recommendation for three crowns without adequate explanation, alternative options, or cost transparency. Subsequently, second opinions from two other dentists reportedly indicated that the crowns were not necessary.
This detailed negative review suggests a potential issue with rushed consultations, lack of patient communication, and questionable treatment recommendations from Dr. Orr. The reviewer ultimately decided to discontinue their visits to this dental office.
Given these contrasting experiences, it is advisable for potential patients to consider both the positive feedback regarding the hygienist and receptionist and the serious concerns raised about Dr. Orr's consultations and treatment recommendations. Individuals may wish to inquire specifically about the dentists and hygienists they will be seeing and potentially seek further information or a consultation to form their own informed opinion about the practice's environment and services. No specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews.

Advanced Valley Dental Reviews
Got a cleaning here and had fantastic results. The people are so nice here especially the receptionist and the hygienist Marissa! Happy to have found a dentist i’m actually comfortable at!
Jul 03, 2024 · Liz TrumbleyI WOULD NOT RECOMMENDI had been going here for about a year for my oral health. The Dental Hygienist who I always saw was WONDERFUL, and I thoroughly enjoyed having her.Dr. Orr on the other hand is anything but. She comes off as friendly and personable which initially makes you feel welcome. However every time she saw me for anything, appointments were so rushed it was like a storm passing through. She never spoke to or communicated anything to me during any appointment. She would never give any time to talk about my oral health, or to ask for reasoning why she was telling me I HAD to get something done. One of my fillings she replaced in less than 10 minutes, and now I'm doubtful it's even a healthy filling. (It was replacing an old filling that had become loose, or so she said). The final straw was during my last appointment where she came in, said I needed to get 3 crowns, one asap. She never explained why, she never recommended other options, and she never gave me even a moment to ask a question and she was gone. To build on this, I was never informed how a crown procedure works, I was not informed I would need to make follow up appointments, I was not given an accurate quote on the cost of a crown (the price I had to call myself and inquire about, and I was quoted the wrong price as I would learn when I arrived the day of for the appointment). So I declined to have the procedure completed and proceeded to book second opinions with 2 other dentists. At BOTH of these second opinions I was told that there was nothing indicating I would need a crown, let alone 3 of them.TLDR: As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Orr has no time for her patients and recommends procedures they do not need. If you continue to see her, make sure you STOP her and ASK her questions, don't let her just make you think you need the dental work without logical reasons.I will no longer be going to this dental office.
Jul 19, 2023 · Brandon EastmanDr. Orr was a nightmare of a dentist for me.- She canceled appointments frequently- She was unfortunately very sloppy in her work.- She was dishonestI initially had very high hopes that my dental care would be handled with care but she left my filling completely jagged and rough. After several months, it has still not smoothed down.I never had the opportunity to have this fixed as, after she canceled on me several times, I was then told that I had missed 2 appointments (which never happened.. they were all her “re-schedulings”) and that I was dismissed from the practice.
Dec 06, 2023 · Jeannette HallThe dental hygienist is excluded from this review as she was polite, courteous, and professional (aka did nothing wrong).Excluding that this office accepted my CT Husky insurance and request for a routine cleaning, and utilized a modern scanning equipment for dental X-Rays, I am dissatisfied with this office, and will not return as this was my first and only visit. The main reason is because on or around 7/7/2023, I entered the office with the impression that I had no dental problems. However, upon speaking with the doctor at the end about possible cavities and a bridge, I was very skeptical about these remarks. The way I know is because regarding cavities, I had one back in 2021 that I felt a few months before I had it removed at my prior office (which is better than AVD). To not feel one and to be told that I had them by the doctor was unexpected. As it stands now, I am considering getting a consultation to make sure I don't need a tooth bridge. Yet again, I am a healthily person with no abnormal feelings amongst my teeth. I will probably wait until my next routine cleaning at a new office to speak about my experience with AVD.Respectfully.
Jul 18, 2023 · Marc ConradWARNING DO NOT GO HERE.Long rant alert - The hygienist there is good but the actual dentist is a scam artist. She comes in quickly rushes you through things and suggests surgeries you don’t need. At first impression you think she’s great because she gives a hug and seems personable. When I was pregnant I got a terrible cavity and they needed to pull my back bottom tooth. She pulled it. I had to wait for the area to heal before she could install a fake tooth. During the healing process she saw me two different occasions to check on the healing. During that time the tooth right above it was dropping because there was nothing pushing against it on the bottom. When she came to put the new tooth in on the bottom she told me she had to reconstruct my top tooth as well. I was shocked and confused. I asked why she never noticed it dropping?? I told her she comes in so quickly in and out she’s not even looking at my teeth. She then blamed it on me and said i asked if we could wait on putting the fake tooth in at each appointment. What??? I’m just trusting her as the dentist and would never suggested that! Why would I do that?? I asked them re-look at the cameras in the room to prove she was incorrect. She refused, but said she’d give me a discount on the surgery. Red flagggg.THREE years later I got a bill for $3000. The backend and the front and do not communicate. Everything is rushed and she suggests on necessary procedures. I literally don’t know what to do, but go to court. I’m so disturbed by the whole thing, keeps me up at night.
